Who should study this course?
Our full time Level 2 BTEC courses are for students who would like to study one of our Level 3 courses in the future but do not have the required GCSE grades. We require Grade 3 GCSEs in English (Language or Literature) and Maths, if you have achieved below a Grade 4 in these subjects you may join this course but will have to resit them at College. JCC offers a range of Level 2 courses including Science, Business, Childcare, Health and Social, ICT, Media, Performing Arts and Sport.
This course gives a good preparation for employment into business related careers such as accounting, administration, customer service, finance, IT, personnel or sales. It also provides a basis for Level three courses such as the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business.
In Business classes we often have guest speakers in. I enjoy this because it's easier to learn from a real person with lived experience than from an article.
