Access to Higher Education Student
This is a Level 3 qualification which provides adults aged 19 and over with the opportunity to study a variety of topics to enable progression to university. The course is for one year, three days a week. The course will prepare you for university and will include the study of a range of subjects connected to teaching, education, child development and learning. Whether you are looking to progress your career, develop your higher-level qualifications or would like a change in direction, this course can provide you with the stepping stone to do this. Career options include education, learning support, primary, secondary or FE teaching routes.
Most of the study will be in our adult learning centre at Moseley Road, with some lessons online. Lessons will be on three days per week – with time for independent study and coursework.
The qualification is awarded by the Ascentis awarding organisation.
