If you would like to gain a much deeper understanding of Mathematics, AS/A-Level Further Mathematics may be a suitable course for you. AS/A-Level Further Mathematics builds on the ideas presented in pure mathematics (calculus, trigonometry, algebra, and vectors) but also introduces some rather different concepts in areas such as complex numbers, polar coordinates, and hyperbolic functions. We have also chosen components in the fields of mechanics and statistics as our options for the applied part of the AQA course.

To study Further Mathematics, you must also study Mathematics alongside it, meaning that you will spend a total of 10 hours each week in the Mathematics department.

A wide array of online resources will be available, including Integral Maths and Desmos.
