In the modern world, basic IT skills are vital for applying for jobs, even if you are not seeking IT-related work. During this course, you will cover all the main uses of IT (using computers), including using the internet, typing documents like letters and CVs, using email systems and practising English and Maths skills on computers. Throughout the course, you will develop your skills in using the internet and learn how to use popular software and other digital platforms.

This course is suitable for learners who have already undertaken some study of IT or have some computer skills already. Your English Language skills will need to be at a minimum of Entry Level 3 standard to ensure your vocabulary is strong enough to follow the course efficiently. Otherwise, you may wish to study our English for Speakers of Other Languages course first.

This is an Adult Learning course for mature students. If you are a school leaver, please see our 16-19 IT courses under the ‘Study’ tab above.
