If you enjoy algebra, you’ll likely enjoy your time studying Mathematics at AS and A-Level. You will study a mixture of pure mathematics, mechanics, and statistics.

Pure mathematics builds on the algebra and trigonometry work you would have done at GCSE but introduces calculus into the mixture. Mechanics will involve vectors, kinematics, forces, and Newton’s laws. Statistics focuses on sampling, interpretation of data, probability, the introduction to statistical distributions, and hypothesis testing.

A wide array of online resources will be available, including Integral Maths and Desmos.
