This course looks at a range of topics that prepare you to become a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Worker at Level 3, including:
- Schools and colleges as organisations
- Support health and safety in a learning environment
- Understand how to safeguard children and young people
- Develop professional relationships with children, young people and adults
- Understand how children and young people develop
- Support children and young people during learning activities
- Support English and Maths skills
- Support the use of ICT in learning
- Support assessment for learning
- Engage in personal and professional development
There are no exams for this course, but there will be classroom-based written assessments. You will also be expected to secure a placement in a School or College and be assessed in the workplace.
