On Tuesday 12th June learners from Level 3 Creative Media and Digital Arts attended both the Ikon and Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The visit was in connection to the project they are currently exploring on curatorial processes. As part of this, students are expected to research into different exhibition formats, exploring how they are used and the different types of work which are produced to help their plans to exhibit their own work at the College’s annual summer Arts Festival.
Joseph Chamberlain College students will be exhibiting their work on Saturday 23rd June at our 10th annual Arts Festival. This event will run between 10am – 3pm and is free and open to the public.
To celebrate our 10th year of our Arts Festival, we are delighted to have Andrew Tift opening the event at our preview evening on Thursday 21st June. Andrew Tift is currently exhibiting his work at The New Art Gallery Walsall, his exhibition brings together brand new works combined with selected works from Tifts past practice and will comprise paintings, drawings, sketchbooks and for the first time, a series of photographs and runs from 25 May to 2nd September 2018.
