Welcome to the Governance Section of the Joseph Chamberlain College (JCC) Website
The Corporation of JCC is made up of governors who are responsible, along with the Principal, for the strategic and financial direction of the college. It also has a number of committees to help to fulfil its full range of duties and responsibilities. Most governors serve on one or more committees.
The role of a governor is voluntary, and governors come from a diverse range of backgrounds, including business, finance, audit, law, education and accountancy.
The Corporation works with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team to set the college’s strategic direction, overseeing objectives and monitoring to support the college in providing the best learning experience possible for all of our students.
If you have any questions regarding the work of the Corporation, please contact the Governance Professional at governance@jcc.ac.uk
The work of the Board is governed by the Instruments and Articles of Government, which can only be modified by decision of the Full Board. The work of the Corporation is supported by a Clerk on a part-time basis.
