National Citizen Service Programme
A Message From NCS to JCC parents:
The National Citizen Service is a youth programme designed for young people aged 15-17. Completion of this programme is recognised by universities and employers across the UK. By taking part in NCS, your young person will benefit from having the opportunity to try new activities, gain life skills and make their own independent project.
Joseph Chamberlain College Offers This Exciting Opportunity!
In 2022, the NCS programme continues to run, and we are working with NCS to provide groups dedicated to JCC students only. This is an exceptional prospect for your child as it means the programme is held at JCC, a familiar environment for all students regarding location, travel, and health & safety.
To provide a flavour of what NCS does with an example, in a previous programme, over 30 JCC students participated in the three-day event. The first day was held at Ackers Adventure on Golden Hillock Road, where students took part in exciting and enriching activities such as skiing and archery. The following two days were held at JCC. Here are some of our favourite photos from the mentioned programme:
NCS regularly visits the college to recruit students, and this was most certainly still the case in 2022, with NCS joining us at JCC several times. We hope to continue working closely with NCS in the next academic year. All upcoming NCS visits will be advertised to our students accordingly.
