Joseph Chamberlain College student and Foxes Netball Club player Megan Barton scooped a top accolade at the West Midlands Netball Golden Globe Awards last month.
Megan Barton, 17, was put forward as best player of Division Two of the West Midlands Senior Regional League and won the category.
Foxes’ regional coach Karen Fletcher said:
“Given the regional teams challenging season and the high standard of players in Division Two, the accolade of this award should not be underestimated. Megan’s commitment to her club, team and sport is commendable. This mirrored with her insatiable work rate complements this outstanding achievement. Megan has met many challenges during this season, however, her bounce back ability is truly inspiring. She is always willing to listen and apply coaching advice, she consistently practices outside of training and is truly a role model for all young players.”
