This Event is for parents of first year AS Level and Level 3 year 1 BTEC Vocational students only.
Here at Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College, we not only place importance on your son/daughters studies and progression while they are a student with us, but also ensuring they are fully prepared and informed when it comes to making their future choices, particularly around applying to University.
Your son/daughter will start their UCAS journey in April. The whole process can be divided into 3 main parts.
Part 1 – Application form. Your son/daughter will start to complete sections of their UCAS application form in April
Part 2 – Personal Statement. Your son/daughter will write about the skills and knowledge they have to succeed on their chosen University course
Part 3 – Reference. Your son/daughter’s Progress Tutor will complete an academic reference
Your son/daughter’s Progress Tutor and our Futures Team will guide them every step of the way.
To support parents/carers with the UCAS application process we will be holding a virtual UCAS presentation evening on Wednesday 21st April from 5pm to 6pm.
Once you have registered you will receive details on how to join the presentation evening on the morning of Wednesday 21st April.
During the evening there will be a Live Chat where parents can ask general questions about UCAS.
