For the second time in six years, Ofsted has awarded us the grade of ‘Outstanding’, recognising our commitment to, and success in, achieving the college’s mission of: ‘An Exceptional Education for All’.
The recent Ofsted report reveals JCC to be a truly exceptional institution and the first Sixth Form College in England that has been judged as making a ‘strong’ contribution (the highest possible grade) to the development of skills urgently in demand among the local community as well as the wider country.
Here at Joseph Chamberlain, we have over 2000 learners aged 16–18 studying across a broad and varied curriculum. We are proud of our student’s achievements, showcased through our latest set of exceptional exam results:
- 99% A-Level Pass Rate
- 98% BTEC Level 3 Pass Rate
- 51% of A-Level Grades at A*, A or B
- 71% Distinction Grades for BTEC Level 3

Our fresh approach to work experience is designed to deliver real benefits to boost your business alongside preparing our students for moving from college to the workplace and Higher Education.
Due to partnering with local employers across a wide range of sectors, our work experience programme matches students with employers’ needs and priorities to maximise the mutual benefits to be had.
With your help, we can ensure that there is a constant stream of talent fully equipped with all the essential core competencies to meet the demands of our local employers. Our Work Experience team will make sure the process is straightforward and that your experience is a positive one.
Industry Days
We invite you to come to our college to participate in one of our Industry Days. These are exciting events that enable you to reach students who study subjects that are related to your career/company, enhancing their knowledge and passion for the field. We will work with you to develop a work-related activity session that you will run with the students on the day. This gives you the invaluable opportunity to talk to the students on a 1-to-1 basis, as well as network with other industry professionals.
Employer Talks
Visit our college and speak to enthusiastic students about your company/career. This will help them to understand the field and potentially inspire them to pursue a specific career in the future. As an employer, this gives you the opportunity to reach students, teaching them about careers they may have never considered before and introducing them to your company.
Employer Visits
Our students are eager to meet employers at their place of work. We would appreciate any invite to any networking events, employer talks, tours, etc.
