Yardleys School Students Get Creative at JCC

Joseph Chamberlain College was delighted to welcome two groups of Year 10 Photography students from Yardleys School for a day of creative exploration and hands-on learning.

During their visits, the students explored the college’s vibrant Art corridor and discovered the exciting possibilities of the Dark Room, where they created their own imaginative photograms. They also enjoyed experimenting with gel printing techniques, producing vibrant and original pieces of art, which can be seen below. After crafting these pieces, the students were treated to a lunch pack and a bag of JCC goodies while learning more about the college and what they can expect after they finish school, particularly if they decide to pursue creative subjects.

The students were enthusiastic and fully engaged throughout the day, with one pupil commenting that they want to “start learning at JCC as soon as they finish school” – a testament to the welcoming and inspiring atmosphere at the college.

The college looks forward to welcoming more talented students from Yardleys School in the future and extends its thanks for this inspiring collaboration.
