Full time Applied Science is a package of subjects specifically chosen for students wishing to progress into Higher Education courses and employment in the science field.

You will study the foundations of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, as well as exploring issues of Science in society. Covering topics such as Cells, Microscopy, Biological Molecules, Bioenergetics, Biodiversity,  Atomic Structure, Bonding, Rates of Reaction, Enthalpy Electricity, Motion and Medical Physics. You will also gain a deeper understanding of Human Biology with the opportunity to understand how this knowledge would be used by health professional and gain insight into the types of biomedical techniques used by healthcare scientists to diagnose disease. This aspect of the course will be particularly pertinent to those students wishing to pursue a career in NHS.
